This is the most important step after logging in for the first time. Completing your profile, specifically by setting a unique username, is essential for protecting your privacy and participating anonymously within the StuAsk community. By default, your account may display your real name, but changing it ensures your posts and comments are credited to your chosen username instead.
How to Set Your Username:
- Find Your Profile Settings: After logging in, look to the top-right corner of the screen. You should see a link or button that says “Complete your profile.” Click on it.
- Locate the Username Section: On your profile page, scroll down until you find the section labeled “Username.” You will see that it is currently set to your real name.
- Change Your Username: To the right of your current username, click the “Change” button. A box will appear, allowing you to type in your new, preferred username.
- Confirm and Save: After typing in your new username, follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the change. You may need to click a “Save” or “Confirm” button.
